College

“Education costs money, but then so does ignorance.” – Sir Claus Moser

Great quote, but it needs updating. It should start out, “Education costs a lot of money…”
Using information from the College Board’s Trends in College Pricing 2012 on national averages, and a 6% college cost inflation rate, college tuition and fees in 2030 will cost:

  • Over $100,000 at an in-state public university
  • Almost $300,000 at an out-of-state public university
  • Almost $400,000 at a private college
When it comes to funding college, slow and steady wins the race. And an education on this topic would be a wise investment. Start early, budget for it, stay committed…and use a financial consultant. We would love to help you sort through the maze of projecting costs, deciding how much to save, and also which savings/investment option makes the most sense.
