Erik graduated from college in 1992 with a degree in Business Financial Management and a minor in Accounting and Marketing. Following his education, he obtained his first investment license in 1992. He began his career in banking in 1994 as a part-time teller. This position grew into a full-time position and he quickly became the Branch Manager, overseeing multiple branches and employees. In 1998, Erik expanded his banking skills into business banking. He decided in 2000 that his passion was in financial advising. He has been a full-time financial advisor ever since and brought decades of experience to Community Trust Financial Services.

Outside of work, Erik is an extremely involved and dedicated father and foster father. He has two successful adult daughters of his own and he enjoys spending as much time with them as possible. Additionally, he also has two foster children. Fostering for over ten years, he has impacted the lives of many foster children. He takes great pride in loving and providing for children that have not been as fortunate as some.

Erik has served on the Parks and Recreation board in Scott County for over 6 years. He enjoys thinking 'out of the box' and the challenge of making things new and beneficial for upcoming generations. Alongside of the Parks and Recreation board, Erik has been a steadfast volunteer and board member for the Scott County Softball Club since 2004, humbly accepting the position as League President in 2010.
