John Musterman

Born and raised in Louisville, John started his financial services career back in 1974, on the “corporate” side of the insurance business with Continental Insurance in their regional office. He spent the next 20 years managing a family owned retail business. John noted, “I think spending all those years in a family owned retail operation gave me a special appreciation of small business owners and their unique set of circumstances when it comes to retirement.”

John came back to the financial services industry in 1996 with Prudential Preferred Financial Services. In 1998 he joined Community Trust Financial Services and earned his Chartered Life Underwriter designation in 2001, and shortly thereafter his Chartered Financial Consultant designation.

John said, “Once you turn 50, there is a little light that goes on concerning your retirement. When I turned 60, that light got a lot brighter.” John really enjoys working with Baby Boomers nearing retirement, helping them to preserve and protect their hard earned retirement nest egg, and turning those assets into a predictable and sustainable income stream.

John lives in Somerset and is married with three grown daughters.
