Phone and Text Message Scam Alert
We are seeing an increase in phone and text message scams targeting Community Trust Bank customers. These fraudsters are pretending to be Community Trust Bank needing to “verify” suspicious activity.
Community Trust Bank will never call or text you requesting the following information:
- Online Banking Credentials (Username and Password)
- Your one-time security Code
- To initiate a wire or withdrawal of funds to resolve fraud
- Move funds for “protection” purposes
If you receive a call requesting this information, hang up immediately; do not provide any information. You may reach out to your local branch if you have any concerns.
Do not respond to any text messages asking for sensitive information.
Note - Fraudsters can spoof a phone number to make it appear to be from Community Trust Bank.
