Important Fraud Warning
Phone Scams Targeting Business Customers
We are seeing an increase in phone scams targeting business customers, where fraudsters falsely claim to be calling from Community Trust Bank to report suspicious activity or to “verify” account information.
These callers attempt to:
- Gain online banking credentials
- Obtain security codes
- Request wire transfers or ACH activity
- Move funds once access is obtained
IMPORTANT REMINDER:
Our bank will NEVER:
- Ask for your online banking password
- Ask for your one-time security codes
- Ask you to verify login credentials
- Ask you to initiate a wire transfer to resolve fraud
- Ask you to move funds for “protection” purposes
If you receive a call like this:
Hang up immediately
Do not provide any information
Call your local branch directly using a known phone number
If you believe your information may have been compromised, please contact us immediately so we can help secure your account.
Your awareness is the strongest defense against fraud.
